Gianfranco Aurilio was born in Rome. After graduating from a Humanities-centered secondary school, he got his Law degree from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. He has published fifteen collections of poems and drawings. His poetry has been published in several national and international anthologies, and he has also received a number of international awards and prizes. Before dedicating himself to poetry and drawing, he was a professional musician and music teacher, as well as the author of a two-volume guitar book for teachers and students, entitled “Complete”. He was the recording artist for the albums “Guitharp” and “My melodies”, and has also written the scores and lyrics for various original compositions.

I wish to thank Motivational Strips and the Government of India for the honour awarded to me on the occasion of the 75th year of indipendence of India. The Independence Day Honour is conferred on "exceptional poets from around the world every year". The award is jointly endorsed by Government of India’s premier literary institution ‘Gujarat Sahitya Academy’.

Gianfranco Aurilio è nato a Roma. Dopo aver compiuto studi classici, si è laureato in Giurisprudenza presso l'Università “La Sapienza” di Roma. Ha pubblicato quindici raccolte di poesie e disegni. Sue poesie sono state pubblicate in numerose antologie nazionali e internazionali e numerosi sono anche i riconoscimenti e i premi internazionali. Prima di dedicarsi alla poesia e al disegno, ha lavorato come musicista e insegnante di musica, pubblicando il manuale per chitarra, per insegnanti e studenti, dal titolo “Completo”, in due volumi. Ha registrato gli album “Chitarpa” e “Le mie melodie” e ha scritto testi e musiche di canzoni.

Desidero ringraziare Motivational Strips e il Governo Indiano per l'onore conferitomi in occasione del 75° anno dall'indipendenza dell'India. L'"Onore del Giorno dell'Indipendenza" è conferito ogni anno a "a eccezionali poeti provenienti da diverse parti del mondo". Il riconoscimento è approvato dalla primaria istituzione letteraria governativa indiana "Gujarat Sahitya Academy".

In the hyporealistic art the reality is presented with accuracy, even if not with the same meticulosity of Hyperrealism, together with one or more elements which alter the perception of it.
Who is watching should have the clear sensation that the subject of the work of art, even if it is close to reality, is unreal.
This can be obtained with any means which serve this purpose, as, for instance, the use of colour as a secondary element in a white and black work of art or vice versa or with the use of abstract or indefinite objects or figures.
Nell'arte iporealista la realtà viene presentata con accuratezza, anche se non con la stessa meticolosità dell'Iperrealismo, insieme con uno o più elementi che ne alterano la percezione.
Chi osserva deve avere la netta sensazione che il soggetto dell'opera, pur essendo vicino alla realtà, non è reale.
Ciò si può ottenere con qualsiasi mezzo che raggiunga lo scopo, come, per esempio, l'uso del colore come elemento secondario in un'opera in bianco e nero o viceversa o con l'uso di oggetti o figure astratte o indefinite.
