What pushes the heart to love?
Passion,
that ravages the body
with relentless fires
and that can be tamed
only by pleasure?
Tenderness,
that pervades the mind
with appeasing sweetness
or compassion,
the urges
to help and protect?
Whatever it is
I want that to be the wind
that pushes my sails.
