A few people say
to still hear its voice
along the river.
A little swan
abandoned by its mother,
brought up by the other animals
that live on the river bank.
When no one loves us
or doesn't understand us
or doesn't accept us
because we are different from them,
we learn to love
only ourselves.
Every time it swam in the river
and saw its reflection,
it seemed to talk to itself,
it also seemed to laugh.
Years went by
and it would spend the entire day
and even the moonlit nights
talking to its image
reflected in the water
until it let itself be carried away by the current
up to the waterfall
and then downwards
without stopping.
No one has seen it again
but someone says
they can still hear its voice
along the river.
