X

I carved that night inside me
using a stone
harder than a diamond
that not even a hurricane
could graze.
I wrapped it in a cloth
as soft as silk,
like your skin
under my incredulous hands
that never
have known such beauty,
that never
felt such joy
that never
know how to detach themselves
and only in a dream
they still can caress you.
I locked it up in a cruet
fragrant as thy body
which I open every time
that nostalgia
can no longer wait
and since then
I keep it in a labyrinth,
a labyrinth of passion,
where each room is a sigh
where every bush is a kiss
where every flower is an embrace
a long and never ending labyrinth
like our night of love.
