It is easy
to plunge
into the deep sea
with a stone hanging from your neck
and go down
deeper and deeper
and feel your senses
that slowly abandon you,
in a sweet agony.
But it's just as easy
to cut that rope
and push yourself up
faster and faster
closer and closer
to the surface of the water
to re-emerge
like a rocket
and outside
there's light
there's the sun
there's air
there's life
there's joy.
