It’s easy to wear the mask
of a dormant volcano
when all the lava is dry
but it’s when the lava is boiling
and bubbling upwards
that dormant volcanoes
awaken.
And we are surrounded
by volcanoes that seemed dormant,
ready and waiting to erupt.

I vulcani quiescenti

È facile indossare la maschera
del vulcano spento
quando non c’è lava
ma è quando la lava ribolle
e spinge verso l’alto
che i vulcani quiescenti
si risvegliano.
E siamo circondati
di falsi vulcani spenti,
pronti a scoppiare.
