Tonight
I put up my Christmas tree.
I put it up on my home balcony
sitting on my deck-chair
watching the sky.
It was full of stars.
I stretched out my hand
and with my fingertip
I moved them
one by one
and I decorated the tree
so I could tell the whole world:
“Merry Christmas!”

L’albero di Natale

Ho fatto il mio albero di Natale
questa notte.
L’ho fatto sul balcone di casa
seduto sulla mia sdraio
guardando il cielo.
Era pieno di stelle.
Ho allungato la mano
e con il dito
le ho spostate
ad una ad una
e ho fatto il mio albero
per dire a tutto il mondo:
“Buon Natale!”
