How can we reign in the wind of freedom
that blows recklessly
and terrifies us to the very core of our souls
with its rebelliousness?
There's no courage.
The highest peaks
cannot be reached
by climbing hills
and we are only able to escape
and surrender to intolerance.
It’s easier to shut ourselves in a cave
than to fly above an ocean
and if we don’t have wings
we are not free.

Senza ali

Come imbrigliare il vento della libertà
che soffia impetuoso
e ribelle
gli animi spaventa?
Non c'è coraggio.
I picchi più alti
non si raggiungono
scalando solo colline
e sappiamo solo fuggire
e all'intolleranza arrenderci.
E' più facile rinchiuderci in una grotta
che volare su un oceano
e senza ali
non chiamatela libertà.
