I hear the sea in the distance
writhing and yelling
in an evening of rain
turned to day by the lightning,
never ending fury,
and made frightful by the thunder
that never stops crying
while the wind roars
scattering the leaves.
Deafening night tonight,
the stars have fled
and even the dark
doesn't want to come back anymore.

 Assordante notte

Sento il mare in lontananza
contorcersi e urlare
in una sera di pioggia
resa giorno dal lampo,
incessante furore,
e spaventevole dal tuono
che mai smette il lamento
mentre il vento ruggisce
sparpagliando le foglie.
Assordante notte stanotte,
sono scappate le stelle
e anche il buio
non vuole più tornare.
