Among the pearls of the sky
I found shells
that sounded like silk,
I bathed my feet
without allowing them to touch me,
I let them play
while the moon was weaving
a tapestry of light
in its jade-like hair
hemmed by the sun.
I woke up crying
while my heart was laughing.
Among the pearls of the sky
I will wander aimlessly
imploring that dream
that will never return.

Un sogno

Tra le perle del cielo
ho trovato conchiglie
dal suono di seta,
ho bagnato i miei piedi
senza farmi toccare,
le ho lasciate giocare
mentre la luna tesseva
un arazzo di luce
nei capelli di giada
orlati di sole.
Mi sono svegliato piangendo
mentre il mio cuore rideva.
Tra le perle del cielo
vagherò senza meta
implorando quel sogno
che mai più tornerà.
