Don't be afraid
to pass by the Earth
- the moon said to the comet -
the autumn rains
darkened it,
they sent armies of clouds,
ranks of lightning bolts and storms,
legions of winds and tornadoes
to imprison
the sun.
But the day and the night,
tired of hiding,
asked the sky for help
and today
the stars have come back.

Son tornate le stelle

Non aver paura
a passar per la Terra
– disse la luna alla cometa –
le piogge d’autunno
l’hanno oscurata,
hanno inviato
eserciti di nubi,
schiere di lampi e temporali,
legioni di venti e di tornadi
per far prigioniero
il sole.
Ma il giorno e la notte,
stanchi di nascondersi,
hanno chiesto aiuto al cielo
e oggi
son tornate le stelle.
