I give up
in front of the sea
my eyes to the evening
and for me she lays them down
in the tracks of the moon

with diamonds and rubies
emeralds and topazes
and in the morning

Di fronte al mare al calar della sera

Cedo
di fronte al mare
i miei occhi alla sera
e lei per me li posa
sulla scia di luna
lì
finché l’ultimo bagliore
avrà ornato il cielo
di diamanti e rubini
smeraldi e topazi
e al mattino
quando il sole
rischiarando
si leva
riuscirò a richiuderli
per sognare bellezza.
