Do you remember
those rainy nights
when the moon was too sad
to let itself be seen
and the stars
had no more light to shine?
When the city was a lake
with the shop windows signs
painted on the water.
Do you remember those rainy nights
when we used to sneak away from our windows
on the tips of our toes
because it was the only way to see each other?
And we used to make love
in the abandoned car.
We have grown up
and there's no more room for us
in our lives
but on rainy nights
I feel like sneaking away
from my window
to meet ourselves again
in the abandoned car.
