Autumn knocks
at the Summer's door
which doesn't want to open
and basking in the lovely weather,
the Queen remains strong.
The day gets shorter,
the air is getting cooler,
colours grow dark,
the rain
is persistent,
the sky
cloudier
but the Queen
doesn't surrender
her realm
and to the Autumn
sends three gifts:
a swallow,
a rose,
a starry night.

Autunno è nell'aria

Bussa l’autunno
all’uscio dell’estate
che aprir non vuole
e del suo bel tempo
forte
ancor Regina
resta.
S’accorcia il giorno,
rinfresca l’aria,
imbruniscono i colori,
più insistente
è la pioggia,
più nuvoloso
il cielo
ma la Regina
il suo regno
non cede
e all’autunno
tre doni invia:
una rondine,
una rosa,
una notte di stelle.
